HUETE – ROMAN MINES

Delve into the heart of Roman Civilization and discover how the cities like Segóbriga emerged. Tour throughout the galleries of Cueva del Sanabrio on a guided tour with our archaeologist.

In Cuenca province, we find a series of mining complexes from the Roman Period of "Lapis Specularis" (a crystallized mineral), which possibly constitute one of the largest sets of mines of Antiquity in the whole world and one of the best preserved these days. One of these mines is the so-called Cueva del Sanabrio between Saceda del Río and Huete which you can discover in this route.

OIL TASTING – OLIVARES DE ALTOMIRA

Visit to the Olivares de Altomira oil mill, where they will show us the origin of liquid gold. We will visit the facilities of the mill where they will reveal all the secrets to make a unique virgin olive oil. Having known about the entire production process, from the olive trees to the table, we will sit down for a guided tasting to initiate us into this sensitive world of oil tasting. We will taste various types of oil to learn to distinguish its characteristics while enjoying it. No doubt, we will go through an experience that captivates our senses.

WINE TASTING – ALTOMIRA ARTISAN WINES

Visit the traditional Altomira Artisan Wine Cellar-Cave. This experience begins with a visit through the historic center of Mazarulleque, through its streets excavated in the rock and through the neighborhood of the cellars-cave, where we will visit two of its traditional buildings. We will enter the Altomira winery, of modest dimensions and very close to the concept of "garage wines" where we can learn about the winemaking tradition of the area. After the visit there will be a commented tasting of Altomira wines with 3 wines and 3 appetizers.
